The Story Behind Our Logo

Every part of the Golden Gate Rocket Labs logo tells a piece of its story.

The logo began in 2022 with a sketch created by Christine Lee, our Graphic Design Vice President during the early days of Golden Gate Rocket Labs. We wanted a design that captured both our passion for rocketry and our roots in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The rocket's shape and details include a subtle nod to the Golden Gate Bridge, connecting the logo to the place where my rocketry journey began.

And, of course, there's Teddy — my mini schnauzer and the unofficial mascot of Golden Gate Rocket Labs. Teddy was often nearby while we worked on projects, so it seemed only fitting to put him in the pilot's seat.

What started as a high-school team logo has become something more meaningful to me. As Golden Gate Rocket Labs evolves from its high-school beginnings into a record of my rocketry and aerospace engineering journey, the logo remains a reminder of where it all started.

It's a little quirky, a little local, and a piece of our history — a reminder to stay curious, keep building, and never stop exploring.
